“Chapel Street Lighthouse” is a delightful double-storey home in the very heart of Cowes, easily walkable to both the beach and to the town centre, with its supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants on your doorstep. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs are all three bedrooms (each with built in robes) and the main bedroom also features a smart Tv and an ensuite with shower & toilet. Also on this level is the second bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate toilet and a large laundry - with washing machine and clothes dryer.
Upstairs, the home features an open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with 75' smart Tv, blutooth soundbar, DvD player & gas coonara-style heater) that provides access out to the large balcony. There is also a toilet upstairs.
Outdoor Areas
The rear courtyard is enclosed, providing the perfect place for kids and pets alike. The upstairs balcony has a 6-seater outdoor dining table, gas BBQ and delightful bay views. The long single garage (7.5m long) provides parking for one vehicle with space for another parked in front of the garage.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a Nespresso compatible Breville pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, an electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has ducted evaporative cooling throughout, plus a gas coonara-style heater in the upstairs living/dining room. There are also 2 portable heaters available for use as needed in the home.
Bedding Configuration
"Chapel Street Lighthouse" is configured to comfortably sleep up to a maximum of 6 adults and children:
Bedroom 1 (downstairs) One King bed
Bedroom 2 (downstairs) Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Bedroom 3 (downstairs) Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Please note that if you want the Long Single beds to be converted into King beds prior to your arrival, we need at least one week's notice before checking in.
Long single mattress dimensions are approximately 91cm x 203cm and converted king bed dimensions are approximately 180cm x 203cm.
Linen
A standard booking comes with doonas with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bath mats. Guests can bring their own sheets (flat and fitted) pillow cases and towels or opt to pay extra for this optional linen. The cost to provide optional linen is a once off fee per stay of 30 per king/queen/double bed and 15 per single bed. Please advise us if you would like this additional service.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
